Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The Skoog burger is huge and delicious!

We stopped here after hiking all day. As soon as we walked in they told us it was Wing Wednesday and that they'd only be serving wings, chicken fingers, pork tenderloin, and fried appetizers. Of course we stayed. Regular wings can sometimes be disappointing because they don't have much meat--not these. They are HUGE and perfectly crispy. We ordered a combo platter appetizer too. Unless you really want all the fried things (onion rings, mushrooms, cauliflower), skip it and go straight for a whole order of the broccoli cheddar bites. Seriously awesome.Domestic pints are $2 on wing night. Can't go wrong with beer and wings. They don't start serving food until 5pm (on Wednesdays at least), but they'll take your order earlier and get it out as soon as they can. It's worth the wait either way.

Make sure you try the onion rings... I was sitting outside and a random pedestrian commented on how amazing they looked. They tasted amazing as well. All I got here was a burger and have to say that the amount of meat you get is a tad excessive. It tasted great and all of the food was good. It's a relaxed environment in a nice downtown area. If I happen to venture through this part of Illinois again, I will most definitely stop here.

Great spot for lunch or dinner after enjoying the state parks. The deep fried garlic pork chop sandwich was freaking exceptional! One of the best fried sandwiches I have ever tasted.

Love the outside seating. Tuesday we had music & a great waitress, Friday no music & waitress put in the wrong chicken. Will go again

Second day in town, wished we came here the first night. Because we probably would have came back. Everything was great burger, wings, and combo platter.

Wow! We ordered these nachos for appetizer and were too full to each much of our entrees because they were so good and piled high! And our entrees were ribs which were wonderful! (Of course we took them to our hotel!)We also had wings here last night. Great! Hard to try any other place while we're in town.....

Burger is something to be proud of. Service makes a meal and they were very pleasant here. Will be back.

Stopped by after Starved Rock, and I heard that they had great wings, and great wings they had.

We found this place after we went for a long hike at Starved Rock. We were not disappointed. The service was great and the food was amazing. The portions are large and the food is delicious. I had a pork loin fried steak sandwich it was delicious. My son had the huge Burger. when I say huge it's big and he said it's delicious. I would recommend and we will return. Oh and the wings are so good!! ❤️👍

We have never been there before as we came from out of town to seek good trails. We are so glad we chose this place to eat. The food was great and we even had leftovers. Customer service was amazing! Very exceptional and we will return!

Stopped in to support local business while camping at Starved Rock (and to take a break from camp chef duties). Food was fantastic. Ordered the appetizer sampler, wings with bourbon sauce amd a side of the raspberry habanero sauce (fabulous!), and fried chicken. Loved the appetizers so much I could barely do justice to my fried chicken. The amazing thing was, the chicken was as good (possibly more delicious) the next day and the next day with left over waffle from the Starved Rock Lodge.

Had the tenderloin while in town for a work trip and would definitely recommend giving it a try. Would be 5 stars but was slightly turned off by getting charged for bbq sauce.

Fantastic service and a lot of great options on the menu. Love their wings and their burgers are delicious. Service and food is consistently great every time and servers are genuinely friendly and attentive.

A nice part of downtown Utica. I had the wings; they were large and filling with a lot of sauce choices. The service was great.

I have lived in the area for 25 years, however last night I talked my boss, (THE PICKIEST EATER EVER) to give Skoog's a try, with three hours free work hanging on the line, and they delivered!!! He is not one to shy away from telling us if he doesn't like something but he LOVED THEM! Sauces were perfect and wings were absolutely amazing!!! Will definitely be ordering again and probably using them to cater our next company meeting!!!

The wings were excellent. My wife got the burger and lived it. My kids loved their grilled cheese. Service was friendly.

We'd be at Skoog's often if it wasn't for the distance. But every now and then we'll drive the distance for their kamikaze wings and burgers. It's so worth it! Never fails, they're sooo yummy!!

Wings were large, juicy and flavorful. Cooked like I like them. Only could put down 8 of 12 ordered. Air fryer warmed leftovers and tasted just as good.

We had the corn nuggets, fried mushrooms, Skoog burger and chili. They all were very good! The corn nuggets were wonderfully interesting. Great experience!

Get the wings! Get the wings! Get the wings! My favorite in the entire area. I don't normally like breading but theirs is amazing! The sweet red chili sauce is awesome. As well as the bourbon & kamikaze. And they're definitely reasonably priced. I do enjoy their buffalo chicken sandwich as well. The pork tenderloin is good but nothing special. And way too much mayo on the coleslaw. But overall a great stop for some decent food.

Great food, staff and owners! Favorite place for a burger in the Illinois Valley, 3/4lb cooked perfectly. You can't go wrong with lunch, dinner or just some drinks at Skoog's! Great environment, lots of TV's with sports all around, specials to choose from also. Stop in, you won't regret it!

Good servie. Interesting fried appetizer options. Try the fried corn nuggets you wont be disappointed. Best wings in the area so come with an appetite. Fresh and large food portions.Visited this location during COVID-19 and the staff and establishment was following local municipal and state guidelines to ensure the safety of consumers. Appropriate documentation upon entering requesting for patrons to follow safety guidelines unfortunately employees were not wearing face masks or being mindful of indoor capacity for patron safety. Designated patio area on the side of establishment for outdoor seating is available as well.

Great food and atmosphere, a must stop for lunch or dinner. My Buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent.

Showed up and 5 mins after a fire truck said everyone had to move inside because of a huge storm coming fast. They lost power and still managed to finish our food. They were great and delicious! We will definitely be back
